For 'mon avis' the Da Vinci Code is a well founded crime drama book.
It thrills the reader both with a crime story and a slight advise on the obscurantism of the church, as one knows it.
This is the message that this book as passed unto me.

It seems however that many obscured readers, topped by church personnel, find it to be a part of something bad against their doctrines.

We say in our language, that "each one it's hat" !!

This week I've read an article signed by Marie-France Etchegoin, trying to dismistify and even ridicularise the book.

After reading it, the article, I find amusing that the author laughs with the fact that the pseudo-representant of the Sion Priory at some time in his life, added to his name France (Pierre de France) in order to give him a higher social degree.
Funny to compare with her own name: Marie-France E. !!!!!
Being the "son of a house wife" !! , and considered as a sick person, does not prove he can not be a Merovingian, neither that he can.
etc etc etc etc.

Although one might think that the article it self would come from a church goer or defendant, it seems to me lighter than that.
At first, the author says that the simple fact of imagining Jesus going to bed with Maria Magdalena, having sex with her and produce children, is a "grotesc argument" !!!
At the end, she says that Da Vinci's Last Supper painting instead of featuring Maria Magdalena herself, does in fact pictures Saint John the Baptist, Jesus "Lover" at that time, and His favorite!!!!!!!!!

Ok, she is not protecting the church at all!!!
She is just another incipient cheap "feminist-extremist".

And this is my opinion, nothing more.

ps: ironically the Priory worships women!!!
